We are keen to see how we can encourage people of all ages to walk more because we know that walking not only helps to improve peoples’ mental and physical health and sense of wellbeing, it also makes for friendlier and less polluted neighbourhoods.

We would love to see if we can co-create a project that brings together our ideas and yours, and which involves pupils, parents and teachers. So far our ideas include encouraging more children and young people to walk and cycle to school, and developing a pollution and traffic awareness campaign through the use of air quality monitors. But we know schools, pupils and parents will have lots of ideas too!

We’d like to invite you to a zoom meeting where we can share our ideas, and hear yours!  The Chair of Governors from a school in Butetown, Cardiff has been invited to tell us about the work they’ve been doing, and also a representative from Living Streets Cymru will tell us about their campaigns in schools up and down the country.
